Our dance inclusion class is for children of all ages and learning abilities to be able to enjoy the art of dance! Taught by a certified Rhythm Works Instructor, this class uses dance to help students work on gross and fine motor skills, rhythm and technique. This class is suitable for all ages and learning needs and is meant to be a safe space for all students to learn and have fun!
This 60 minute lesson is an introduction to the magical world of dance and tumbling. Basic dance principles are introduced in a playful, creative manner while ensuring proper skill development for future training. All exercises and music selections are age and skill appropriate.
This 45 minute preschool daytime dance class is designed to enhance and develop motor skills and cultivate imagination, creativity & social development in a caring environment. Students will grow and develop as they learn the fundamental vocabulary and skills associated with dance. Learning to dance has a unique, elegant and special way of increasing your child’s self-esteem and self-image.

Designed for 6-8 year olds with or without previous training. This 90 minute lesson teaches pre-ballet technique, pre-tap technique and pre-jazz technique. Basic dance principles are covered in a systematic manner so the beginning student may master skills for further training.
Dancers in Dance II Combo will enjoy an interactive class that builds on movements learned in Dance I classes but which are still appropriate for first time dancers.
The 30 minute Jazz/Hip Hop portion of the class includes an introduction to proper warm-ups and stretches for the body combined with across-the-floor progressions and mini combinations.
The 30 minute Tap portion of the class will concentrate on building the dancer's confidence through mastering more difficult patterns and steps, teaching the dancer how to articulate the feet, shift and place weight properly and continuing to develop rhythm and coordination.
This class does NOT have a ballet component.
These 60-90 minute classes begin at the barre with proper exercises to develop strength, balance and flexibility. The dancers then advance to the center floor to perform adagio (slow) and allegro (fast) movements. Center floor combinations, across the floor combinations and turns and leaps are covered in each lesson.
This class focuses on muscle building, technique strengthening, increasing flexibility, and opening dancers’ horizons. A ballet warmup and center floor exercises will be given each week to further extend students' dance knowledge and technical background. Dancers will learn and utilize a variety of exercises to sculpt and strengthen their arms, back, legs, glutes and abdominals. They will learn more about their own anatomy, how to better utilize active versus static stretching, and reach their own personal flexibility goals more effectively. Once a month, they will be exposed to a new dance technique (improvisation, composition, floor work, partnering, etc.) where they will be encouraged by teachers and peers alike to take risks, try new things, and find new growth as developing artists.
This class is an introduction to the Musical Theatre genre, incorporating elements of ballet, jazz and modern. This class will provide young students the opportunity to explore acting exercises also. Students will learn combinations from current and classic musicals.
These 60 minute classes focuses on increasing strength and flexibility while continuing to develop proper technique. Students are introduced to various jazz and modern techniques. Students also gain a sense of musicality, learn terminology and develop artistry and performance skills.
Contemporary dance encourages dancers to be versatile in their expressions and to be able to portray a wide array of movement styles and emotions. It focuses on spacial and body awareness, use of body weight, floor work, technique, efficiency of muscle usage, musicality and safe body alignment.
A one hour exploration of jazz style, technique and presentation. Classes emphasize musicality and body alignment, conditioning, stretch and strengthening, rhythm and stylization as well as fun and innovative choreography. Lyrical combines technical components of ballet with the freedom and fluidity of jazz. This class includes a proper warm-up, stretches, isolations and across-the-floor progressions.
For older beginners, this class will focus on the basics of classical jazz dance. Warm up, center work and short combinations will focus on proper alignment, stretch/strength and musicality. The goal of this class is two fold: First, to make room for an older beginner to explore their interest in dance and second, to get older beginners up to speed, so they can transition into leveled classes if they wish. This class is perfect for cheerleaders, color guard, gymnasts and theatre students who want to cultivate new skills in dance and/or develop skills necessary for their activity.
This class focuses on pointe preparedness. Lessons target the core fundamentals necessary to begin pointe training. Exercises focus on the development of physical strength and technical skills. Students receive individualized evaluations and guidance for beginning pointe work in a safe manner. This is a two year class for all students who follow typical progression. Each student will receive individual evaluation and approval as well as guidance towards when and how to purchase, sew and wear pointe shoes.
Modern classes will incorporate many of the foundations of modern dance technique, including suspension and release, fall and recovery, the use of momentum and connecting breath with movement. Dancers will explore new ways of moving in combinations, floor work and partnering, and also in various methods of improvisation.
Lyrical is an expressive style of dance that allows the dancer to interpret and express the emotions, lyrics and story associated with a piece of music. This class includes a proper warm-up, stretches, isolations and across-the-floor progressions.
Hip Hop incorporates a variety of old and new urban dance styles. The dancing represents body movements that go with the beat and rhythm of hip hop music. Hip hop dancing is very dynamic and helps the dancers improve flexibility develop body balance, rhythm, musicality and coordination
Tap classes are fun and upbeat and allow the dancer to develop their coordination, balance and rhythm. Students will learn both rhythm tap (focuses more on music and rhythms) and Broadway tap (focuses more on dance), as well as musicality and timing.
Taught by a physical therapist and experienced dance instructor, this class focuses on muscle building and increasing flexibility. A variety of exercises will be used to sculpt and strengthen arms, back, legs, glutes and abdominals.
Our various acro classes are designed to supplement dance curriculum, use strength and flexibility to teach gymnastic-based skills and tricks. In these class, students perform conditioning exercises to prepare them for increased difficulty. It teaches flexibility, balance, strength, and coordination. These classes focus on safety, beginning and finishing positions and proper body, foot, and leg positions. Forward rolls, backward rolls, handstands, bridges, cartwheels and round-offs and more are set goals the students are expected to master in our acro classes.
BALLET is the true foundation for all dance disciplines and is essential to a dancer's progress. Through the discipline of ballet technique students improve in grace, strength, coordination, flexibility and fluidity. Ballet is HIGHLY recommended for students in higher level classes in other disciplines.
